Unlike PRE, BLOCKQUOTE does not allow extra blank spaces and carriage returns. However, the BLOCKQUOTE container does allow using other HTML tags (e.g., bold type) in it. BLOCKQUOTE uses the regular body text font as well as an even indentation from the left margin.
